Our Story

Before Posh Plum Consulting became dedicated to project management and business strategy, our original dream was born in a kitchen full of flour, sugar, and laughter. The idea for a cozy bake shop took root years ago—sparked by treasured family recipes and a shared, lifelong passion between a mother and daughter to perfect every kind of treat, from elegant pies and cakes to decadent cookies.

While we ultimately grew into the consulting firm you see today, our passion for warm, buttery treats never went away. This shop is a tribute to that original dream—an exclusive, little pop-up where we'll be baking to order for the fall and holiday seasons. It's our way of sharing a taste of the passion that fuels everything we do.

Our commitment is simple: to deliver great taste and comforting flavors across our entire line of specialty breads and rolls, handcrafted cookies, rich confections, and seasonal pies and crisps. Every item is carefully created with the highest quality ingredients, ensuring reliable, lovingly made baked goods you can trust.

We create our products with the intention of bringing a genuine moment of joy to your table, making your celebrations memorable and your everyday moments a little sweeter.

Compliance and Food Safety Disclosure

To ensure complete transparency regarding our operations, please note the following required public health statement:

All of our products are made in a home kitchen, not inspected by a health department, that may also process common food allergens. If you have safety concerns, contact your local health department.

We take every precaution to ensure food safety, including maintaining a valid Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate and adhering strictly to all Illinois Cottage Food Operation guidelines. Your trust and safety remain our highest priority.

Our Policies

All Posh Plum specialty sweets are hand-crafted to order to ensure maximum freshness and quality. Our official order cutoff time is 4:00 PM CST, and any order placed after the cutoff will be processed the following business day. Our standard production time is 2 business days (48 hours) from the time your order is placed until it is ready for pick-up or delivery. This time allows for specialized baking, cooling, and meticulous finishing; and applies to all orders and is in addition to any pre-order dates or scheduled delivery windows.

Fulfillment

We are pleased to offer the following methods for receiving your hand-crafted orders, select your preferred method at checkout:

1. Complimentary Pick-up at Our Home

Our standard pick-up hours are Mondays through Fridays, 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM CST; Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
Once your order is ready, you will receive an email confirmation with the full address and instructions to pick up anytime within the window on your scheduled day.
- Need a different time? If this window does not work for you, please reach out to us at orders@posh-plum.com to schedule an alternate pick-up time.
Cost: $0.00

No-Show Policy: Failure to collect an order at the scheduled time will result in the order being immediately discarded for food safety reasons, and the payment will not be refunded, unless the customer has received a confirmed extension from Posh Plum.

2. Complimentary Delivery to Your Location

A complimentary delivery service to neighborhoods closest to our home (e.g. Stonegate West, The Reserves, and Carillon) within a one mile radius, available Monday through Friday, with deliveries completed by 4:00 PM CST.
Once your order is ready, we will contact you via email with your anticipated delivery date and time. If this time does not work, please reply to the confirmation email to arrange an alternate delivery time. Deliveries will be fulfilled as soon as possible.
Cost: $0.00

3. Scheduled Delivery to Your Location

Available to neighborhoods and surrounding areas located in a one-to-ten mile radius of our home (e.g. parts of Aurora, Batavia, Naperville), available Monday through Friday, with deliveries completed by 4:00 PM CST.
Once your order is ready, we will contact you via email with your anticipated delivery time. If the scheduled time does not work, please reply to the confirmation email to arrange an alternate delivery time. Deliveries will be fulfilled as soon as possible.
Cost: $3.00

4. Outside of our delivery area, but still in Illinois?

Delivery Liability: Due to the shelf-stable nature of our products, all deliveries will be left securely on the client's porch or at the front door if no one is home to receive them. Posh Plum is not responsible for products after the time of delivery.

Expedited Orders

We recognize there will be times when you require your specialty sweets a bit sooner than our standard baking time. For such occasions, we are pleased to offer expedited fulfillment. To ensure your request is reviewed immediately, please add the $10.00 Expedited Service Fee to your cart at checkout.

This fee guarantees your order will be prioritized and ready within a 24-hour window (1 business day) from the time your order is processed. We will promptly check our production schedule and reach out via email to confirm the anticipated fulfillment date and time. Fulfillment will then occur at that confirmed date and time. The confirmed time for rush orders is final to ensure timely fulfillment.

If we are unable to fulfill the expedited timeline (due to scheduling conflicts), we will notify you immediately and issue a full refund of the $10.00 Expedited Service Fee. Your order will automatically revert to the standard 48-hour production time.

Holiday Reserve Collection

The Holiday Reserve menu is a curated collection that will change seasonally to reflect and celebrate various holidays and events throughout the year. These items are available for a limited time only, and specific item availability is at the discretion of Posh Plum Specialty Sweets; only items specifically listed on the Holiday Reserve Menu are designated as Posh Plum's official holiday offerings and are subject to specific holiday item policies regarding fulfillment and cancellation.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Returns

Due to the specialized, custom nature of our products and strict adherence to food safety and cottage food preparation standards, our policies are as follows:

Standard Orders: Cancellations for a full refund must be requested within 24 hours of placing the order. Once the production process has begun after this window, cancellations are not accepted.
Holiday Reserve Orders: Due to specialized ingredient sourcing, advanced production planning, and high volume during holiday periods, a longer commitment period is required:
- Full Refund: Cancellations must be made at least 5 days prior to the confirmed pick-up or delivery date.
- 50% Refund: Cancellations made less than 5 days, but at least 48 hours prior to the confirmed pick-up or delivery date.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the confirmed pickup or delivery date.
- Last-Minute Orders: Any Holiday Reserve order placed with less than 48 hours lead time for pick-up or delivery is non-refundable.
Refunds (Quality/Error): If there is an error on our part regarding quality, flavor, or order accuracy, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. We require a photo of the product issue and may request the return of the remaining product for review. Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
Returns: For food safety and quality control reasons, we do not accept returns on any completed food products.

Special Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen situations may arise. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs within the terms of our cancellation policies.
